Cottonwood Park Apartments

After the video was released on Facebook about the 3 fires at Cottonwoods Parks Apartments of Cahokia Heights, IL Tavis Hudson ( of cottonwoods management ) became upset and commented back. Replying in a rage, calling it fake news. Also said no one is forced to live there. the remarks
“It’s easy to make shit up and bad mouth people, especially when you don’t even know what you are talking about. Here are the facts. We purchased the property when it was crime redden and looked like a dumping ground. We spent over $750,000 since we purchased the apartments back in 2018. We totally renovated over 50 units. That means all new plugs, light switches, lights etc. in every renovated unit. Over 40 new a/c and furnaces. FACT, we had 3 fires since we purchased the apartments, 2 were caused by the tenants, kitchen fires. And unless you know more than the fire department or you think they are just lying, it was NOT determined it was faulty wiring or the furnace. Maybe it was caused by all the extension cords (at least 10) the tenant had running through the apartments. The apartments were built in 1983. Copper wiring doesn’t deteriorate in less than 39 years. Norbert (the tenant) moved in around April 9th 2022. The unit PASSED Section 8,s inspection and the unit PASSED the city of Cahokia’s inspection. Eleven days later the unit had the fire. We were on site cleaning the same day!.. So, unless you are trying to get a job with CNN, provide the facts not fake news. No one is forced to live here and can move out if they want.”
The tenants of Cottonwood Park Apartments that have been living there for years are met the choice, of if you don’t like it then leave. Is that fair to them? Instead for being inform the reason why these fires took place, they are being told if you don’t like it then leave. The repairs and renovations the were clamed to be made are false.
